1991年，玛格达·唐妮诗女士(Magda Danysz)在巴黎创立同名画廊。自巴黎首次亮相以来，唐妮诗 画廊一直在积聚能量，先后踏足上海和伦敦，成为一家不断成长的国际性画廊。我们在一条欣欣向荣的 发展道路上前行，迄今为止取得了许多成就:与众多优秀艺术家合作，参加重要的艺术博览会，与世界 知名机构合作，如上海当代艺术博物馆、北京中央美术学院美术馆、巴黎亚洲艺术博物馆以及法国斯特 拉斯堡当代艺术博物馆等。 画廊极力主张对当代艺术有一个包容的视野，努力营造一个艺术家可以在广泛的实践中共存的氛围与空 间。它长期支持城市艺术艺术家，致力于推广摄影、雕塑、新媒体等多领域的艺术形式，为当代创作开 辟了丰富而深远的前景。画廊不仅代理一批国际知名艺术家，它还以发掘与推广年轻、新兴艺术家著 称。 对画廊来说，艺术是一次发现的旅程。正是本着这种精神，玛格达·唐妮诗决定2009年在上海设立营 地，在令人惊叹的外滩地区开辟一个新的展览空间。唐妮诗画廊是第一家落户上海的国际画廊。从那时 起，画廊便积极投身于蓬勃发展的中国艺术领域，同时肩负着另一个使命:在不断鼓舞人心的东西方对 话中发出自己的声音。

Danysz is first and foremost a platform to promote and support contemporary artists, and an open field for artists, art lovers and collectors to congregate. Founded in Paris in 1991 by Magda Danysz, the gallery has been gathering steam since its Parisian debuts, setting foot in Shanghai, then London, to become a fully geared-up international player. A thriving trajectory with many achievements to date: collaborations with scores of talented artists, participations in important art fairs, joint projects with world- renowned institutions such as Power Station of Art-Shanghai, CAFA museum-Beijing, the Musée National des Arts Asiatiques Guimet-Paris, or the Musée National d’Art Moderne et Contemporain-Strasbourg, France.
The gallery fiercely advocates for an inclusive vision of contemporary art. One in which artists across a wide range of practices can coexist. Its long-time support to artists hailing from urban art and its commitment to strong artistic personalities in photography, sculpture, new media, open up a rich and far-reaching vista into contemporary creation. Next to the roster of international artists that the gallery is often associated with, its commitment also notoriously goes to young and emerging artists.
For Danysz, art is a journey of discovery. It is in this spirit that Magda Danysz decided to set up camp in Shanghai in 2009, with a new exhibition space in the stunning Bund area. Danysz was the first international gallery to open a location in the city. Since then, the gallery has been actively engaged within the flourishing Chinese art scene, with yet another mission: to bolster and be a voice in the ever-inspiring dialogue between East and West.
